White Light Supercontinuum Laser

The Fianium WhiteLase micro™ supercontinuum laser is a quasi-CW laser producing total power of more than 200mW over the wavelength range 450nm to 2000nm. The beam may be easily collimated and focused to a diffraction-limited spot for use in a variety of applications. The unit is simple to operate and may be used with Fianium’s SuperChrome and AOTF filters for programmable wavelength selection.

Advanced Inverted Microscope

Nikon’s Eclipse Ti-E microscope is a powerful inverted, automated microscopy platform, which forms the basis for advanced research from live-cell imaging to super resolution microscopy. The Eclipse Ti-E microscope comes equipped with Nikon’s Perfect Focus System (PFS) that automatically corrects for focus drift in real-time during long exposure, time-lapse imaging live-cell applications.

New Next Generation CCD Cameras

The new CoolSNAP MYO is a high resolution, high sensitivity camera for moderate to low-light life science applications. This cooled 2.8 Megapixel CCD provides 4.54µm pixel pitch, 14-bit digitisation at 20MHz, enabling high spatial resolution and an optimised frame rate for live cell imaging. A high Quantum Efficiency enables sensitive imaging with the option for binning for a higher dynamic range as well as increased signal-to-noise performance. Primary applications include live cell imaging, FRET, FRAP, FISH and Near IR DIC imaging.

Turnkey 3D Imaging for PALM/STORM

With the advent of super resolution modalities such as STORM and PALM sub-diffraction imaging is now possible at resolutions approaching 20nm in X&Y. At these resolution limits, small aberrations in the microscope optics play an important role in achieving higher resolution.

The 3D MicAO from Imagine Optic is specifically designed to correct for these aberrations to further enhance optical resolution. Based on a Shack-Hartmann wavefront sensor that measures the aberrations and a deformable mirror to actively remove the aberrations, the Imagine Optic 3D MicAO is a critical resource for any super-resolution microscopy facility.

Dr. Ryu Nakamura of Nikon Corporation and part of the Nikon A1R+ laser scanning confocal microscope development team will be attending FOM.

This is a great opportunity to meet directly with Nikon factory development to provide feedback for additional features for the A1R+ as well as to explore how the Nikon A1R+ confocal microscope might best address your research needs. Fibre-Optic Laser Beam Combiner

OBIS Galaxy is a fibre-optic beam combiner for use with Coherent’s OBIS FP range of fibre-pigtailed lasers. It may be used to combine as many as 8 OBIS FP lasers into a single fibre output with FC/APC connector. The individual OBIS FP lasers are available at a variety of wavelengths from 405nm to 640nm, with powers up to 100mW.

Galaxy is a true plug-and-play system that simplifies the combination of multiple laser wavelengths and eliminates the profusion of optical components and sensitive alignments that is otherwise required to perform this task. It is ideally suited for instruments or experiments involving multi-wavelength fluorescence excitation.
