Mobility and Miniaturisation: 3D Optical Microscopes Address Key Semiconductor Metrology Needs

Date: Thursday 29 May 2014
Time: 1am AEST

Portability and mobility are key drivers in today's high tech world. Traditional 3D IC stacking, as well as WLCSP, 2.5D and 3D advanced packaging, are important building blocks for the miniaturisation and mobilisation of many of the devices we rely on in our daily lives. As demands for smaller, faster, thinner, and lighter devices increase, manufacturers are pressed to develop more robust fabrication methods with tighter process controls, and are sometimes even required to develop different fundamental technologies.

These new fabrication methods in turn foster the worldwide spread of smaller, thinner electronics systems. In this webinar, we will present information on how 3D microscopes based on white light interferometry can address some of the development and production metrology challenges manufacturers face. 3D WLI microscopes are able to address needs in both production and product development, as well as provide high-quality imaging for failure analysis.
