Pulse compression and dispersion compensation with femtoControl for femtosecond pulses
femtoControl is a motorised dispersion compensation unit for optimization of the duration of femtosecond laser pulses.
A compact boxed system for the spectral range of Ti:S lasers is available off the shelf. For applications that require extreme GDD compensation, whether in 2P or 3P microscopy, a range of customer specific solutions are available.
Features:
Ideal for two-photon microscopy
Three-photon microscopy available with customised setups
Wide range of dispersion compensation
User-friendly operation
Zero GVD (Group Velocity Dispersion) function
Automated prism drive corresponding to stored GVD curves
Also available as femtoControl Kit to cover extreme GDD (Group Dispersion Delay) ranges as well as special wavelengths
Femtosecond pulses which pass through any kind of optical material experience dispersion that can lead to temporal broadening of the ultrashort pulses with subsequent reduction in peak power. Thus, the experimental conditions are changed and degraded. femtoControl compensates for material dispersion by applying the inverse amount of dispersion to the pulse. This is generated by a pair of prisms on motorised translation stages allowing continuous adjustment of the pulse length.
