Protochips announce the release of the new holder Sol for Atmosphere AX, for in operando photocatalysis inside the TEM.
This new holder combines optical stimulation delivered through the holder directly to the sample MEMS chip, combined with the full gas and temperature control capabilities of the Atmosphere AX holder. This makes this new holder ideally suited for the study of photocatalysis, photochemistry, photovoltaics, optoelectronics and plasmonics.
Importantly for these studies, the new holder allows full quantitative calibration of the optical density being delivered to the sample vs wavelength of the excitation, allowing researchers to develop a complete and thorough understanding of the samples optical driven response, combined with the gaseous environment and thermal control.
