Bruker Webinar : Recent Advances for In-situ SEM Nanomechanics

Day: Thursday 24 August 2023
Time: 5pm NZST | 3PM AEST | 1pm AWST

New advanced testing modes available for the PI89 SEM PicoIndeter will be presented and discussed, following two distinct themes: Extreme temperatures and enhanced automation. Academic and industrial researchers with an interest mechanical behavior as a function of temperature and correlating structure property relationships are encouraged to join. Specific applications include:

  • Use of PI89 Auto to target test locations from a top-down orientation using backscatter imaging.
  • Pillar compression at cryogenic temperatures of Nitronic 50 stainless steel and Tungsten.
  • 1000°C indentation on the silicon carbide layer of a TRISO fuel particle.
  • Mapping across a diffusion bond coating-superalloy up to 600°
